We source many of your ingredients from our greater Lake Superior region farmers, producers and businesses. We are currently using ingredients in our ice cream flavors from the following ventures. This list is ever expanding, so check back often to keep up-to-date on our newest partners.
Cream & Milk - Autumnwood Family Farm located in Forest Lake, Minnesota
Honey - Bar Bell Bee Ranch located in Squaw Lake, Minnesota
Goat Cheese - Sassy Nanny Farmstead Cheese located in Bayfield, Wisconson
Maple Syrup - Burgess Family Sugar House, located in Duluth, Minnesota
Strawberries - Seeds of Success located in Duluth, Minnesota
Elderberries, Rhubarb, Sage - Clover Valley Farm and Vinegary in Duluth, Minnesota
Additionally, we also grow a number of our own ingredients right on our own Wilde-Thorne farm north of Two Harbors, MN. Peppermint, lavender, basil, blueberries, currants, strawberries, raspberries, currents and gooseberries are some of the fruit and herbs we grew and incorporated in our recipes this year.
As one can imagine, not all wonderful and delicious ingredients can be grown in our own backyard. Vanilla, Chocolate and Coffee are good examples. For these ingredients we search out local enterprises that use sustainable business practices to source and process these ingredients. Some of our partners include:
Chocolate - Meadowlands Chocolate in Meadowlands, Minnesota
Coffee - Duluth Coffee Company in Duluth, Minnesota
Tea - Zenith Tea Works in Duluth, Minnesota
Vanilla & Other Extracts - LC Finns Extracts in Minneapolis, MN
